Engineering/Technology Curriculum for High Schools

These pages present the High School Engineering/ Technology Curriculum developed by teachers for teachers.  Curriculum modules use technology to enliven academics while teaching skills all students can use after high school.

Quick Start Guide: Want to get on with teaching now?  Choose one of Engineering/Technology curriculum modules from the Curriculum Index and click on the Lesson Index Matrix.  The lesson matrix is your navigation engine through  the lessons, materials, resource links, activities and quizzes.

The California Engineering & Technology Alliance created and expands a standards-based educational program aimed at high schools and designed for articulation from K-12 to community colleges and universities.  Available on this site:

  • A suggested core curriculum and additional alternative curriculum modules endorsed by a diverse Engineering/Technology advisory committee to ensure credibility and "real world" acceptance. The curriculum is firmly grounded with workplace, technology, and mathematics and science content standards. The core curriculum satisfies University of California "a-g" requirements for high school graduates.  Download our Course Description and use it for your own purposes.

  • Engineering/Technology curriculum modules from a wide variety of sources which can be used to enrich math and science curriculum or assembled into comprehensive units tailored for many educational audiences and objectives.

  • A support and staff development structure to assist and train instructors who adopt the Engineering/Technology core curriculum as a career instructional pathway.  Get more information about using the Engineering/Technology curriculum in your school by contacting the California Engineering & Technology Alliance.
