help and frequently asked questions Table of Contents How can I view MS Powerpoint slides and MS Word documents without buying MS Office? Microsoft publishes viewers for their office documents. Go to Microsoft Office Online, select your version of MS office products, and look for the "viewer" download selection. Why does it take so long to download files? A dial-up modem is not the best way to access and use the curriculum materials. We use MS Office documents extensively to make it easier for teachers to use presentation materials, handouts and quizzes without conversion. Many files are very large and often include high resolution graphics. While teachers without broadband can use and download materials, classes with high-speed internet access can present lessons directly off Internet. We've compressed some huge files such as CAD drawings for some relief. Most Windows users have or can download "unzipping" software to open the files.
