This week discusses various structure configurations in materials with respect to their performance. Microscopic and macroscopic approaches are to be employed.
Degradation and Failure
WEEK 4
This week works on the structural analysis using simple testing apparatus. Three major types of properties (mechanical, physical, and chemical) will be addressed.
Properties and Testing
WEEK 5
This week deals with the processing techniques for shaping materials to products. The interrelationships among processing, structure and properties will be emphasized.
Material Processing
WEEK 6
This week exploits career paths in the field of materials engineering and technology. Future applications of materials will be discussed.
